These beautiful handwoven silk shawls are made using traditional spinning and weaving techniques and all colours are made from natural sources - flowers, bark, plant roots and berries. Ideal for those cool summer evenings.

Sabahar is based in Addis Ababa and it's main purpose is to create positive employment opportunities for Ethiopians (with a special emphasis on creating employment for women).

Sabahar supports rural cocoon producers and weaver's co-operatives ensuring fair trade principals are applied throughout the supply chain. They also strive for their production processes to be environmentally sustainable.

Sabahar is member of COFTA (Cooperation for Fair Trade in Africa) and currently awaiting membership of WFTO (World Fair Trade Organisation).
